Just days before the store opens its doors, we’re excited to share some of the unreal giveaways and prizes you’ll find at the Uniqlo Edmonton opening.

Uniqlo has set up shop in the West Edmonton Mall at 8882 170 St. N.W. and it will officially open to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 27. The massive new store is on the second level of the mall in a 15,000 square foot retail space.

If you’re a fan of Uniqlo, you know this space will be filled with beautiful and functional minimalist garb, fall staples, and graphic Ts. We’re excited that Uniqlo is finally touching down on Albertan soil, but we’re even more excited about the outrageous giveaways going down at the grand opening.

For starters, the first 200 people in line before 10 a.m. on September 27 will receive a free Uniqlo tote bag. These are the iconic tote bags listing the store’s locations in metropolitan cities worldwide. On these special bags, “Edmonton” is big and bold at the top. Beyond those first 200 people, everyone who spends over $75 will also get one of the totes.

Uniqlo will also be giving away a free women’s or men’s HEATTECH Crew Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt with all purchases. These warm freebies are first come first serve and only while quantities last so you better get in line early. If you’re not familiar with the HEATTECH tops, they are soft, stylish, and designed to keep you warm as can be for those harsh Alberta winters.

Plus, you can win a free trip for two to Tokyo, Japan. This contest isn’t just for people who go to the opening, either. It’s for any Alberta resident who downloads the Uniqlo Canada App from now until Friday, October 4 and enters the contest. The prize includes airfare for two, four nights in a hotel, and CA$500 in spending money.
