Have you ever looked at your room and thought that if it was less cluttered you would be so much more productive?
Well, there might be a solution to that.
Enter minimalism.
Minimalism is basically the idea of owning fewer possessions to focus more on what you do have instead of what you don’t.
It’s become a very prominent trend within the past few couple of years with shows like Tidying Up with Marie Kondo becoming extremely popular for its decluttering techniques to live a mess-free and stress-free life.
And that’s exactly what these two Singaporeans are doing.
Meet Glo and HL from Thoughtworthy Co.
Their YouTube video giving a tour of their minimalist 700sqf (65sqm) home has reached nearly 1.5 million views!
Their home, which they described as also their “office and (their) playground” is a 3-room HDB flat that they moved into early 2019. Since then, they’ve made full use of each area in their house by reducing the amount of furniture needed.
Take a look at their space.

The couple doubles their living room as their “event space” and an exercise area. How? By having a table that can be easily dismantled, and kept in their storage room when not in use, and gymnast rings on their ceiling.
No TV? No problem! The couple uses a portable projector to watch movies on their white walls whenever they’re in the mood to Netflix and chill together.
If you want to “learn how to eat well, move more, worry less, and do better for the environment” check out Glo and HL’s YouTube channel. They also make videos on exercising and eating well for a healthier lifestyle.
In the meantime, I think I’m gonna start really analyzing whether the things in my room might be causing stress more than they spark joy.
