Theory Design completes interior for Seagate’s new two-story office building – Naples Daily News

Theory Design has completed the interior for Seagate Development Group’s new two-story office building that will also serve as Theory Design’s corporate headquarters.

Theory Design announced it has completed the interior for Seagate Development Group’s new two-story office building at Interstate 75 and Alico Road.  The building will also serve as Theory Design’s corporate headquarters.  Strategically located between Fort Myers and Naples, the 13,000 square-foot building fronts I-75 and features a scenic lake at the rear of the building.

Theory Design’s Vice President of Design Ruta Menaghlazi worked directly with Joe McHarris at Bonita Springs-based McHarris Planning & Design to create both the building’s exterior style and the interior spaces.  The exterior has modern lines, oversized windows, large steel brackets and overhang canopies. It conveys a timeless sense of strength combined with modern influences, both of which reflect Seagate’s core values and stature within the luxury homebuilding and development industry.  The building has been designed to complement how people work today and how they will work in the future.  Collaboration areas, wireless technology, smartboards, and individual Surface Pro computers allow employees to access and share information from anywhere in the building.

As visitors enter the building, the hotel lobby-like reception area showcases dramatic reverse soffit ceilings with LED cove lighting, a stainless-steel elevator, and flooring clad in large scale concrete-like tiles. Floor to ceiling walnut finish panels with cabinetry serve as a backdrop to a custom reception desk made of marble and ebony with minimalist pendant lighting overhead. The first floor also includes three conference rooms for company and client meetings as well as a large training center and office space for Seagate’s construction team members.  All offices and conference rooms have floor to ceiling glass walls and doors, modern carpeting and walnut finish cabinetry and panels. There is also a central café style kitchen and breakroom with upgraded appliances and large screen TV.

The second-floor hosts Seagate’s executive offices and the Theory Design Studio and features 11-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and glass walled offices that provide an abundance of natural light as well as serene views of the lake.  At the top of the elevator, a high-end lounge area with a large screen TV feels more like a living room than an office space. This area serves as an executive reception area as well as a collaborative meeting space. A second-floor Board Room features an oversized walnut conference table, reverse soffit ceilings with walnut finished details and modern lighting, and an ebony finished wine bar.  The Board Room opens to an outdoor balcony overlooking the lake.  Collaborative workspaces, private offices, and a café style kitchen area with a coffee bar are also located on the second floor. The design studio features oversized project tables and a full sample library. The second-floor conference rooms will include large presentation screens and advanced technology.

The new office’s collaborative spaces allow Seagate’s team members to develop and share ideas, plans, and information while the private offices provide places to concentrate in a way that promotes a more creative approach to their work. The collaborative spaces also provide areas for informal client and production meetings.

In addition to creating compelling and productive interiors for commercial spaces, Theory Design is also creating the interiors for Seagate’s furnished models custom end user residences in Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, Quail West, Talis Park, Hill Tide Estates, and Esplanade Lake Club.  Seagate’s furnished Captiva model in Hill Tide Estates at Boca Grande is open for viewing and features an interior by Ruta Menaghlazi.  Theory Design was named recipient of a 2019 Aurora Award for the Captiva’s interior in the Best Interior Design of a Home Priced over $2 million category.  Theory Design is also creating custom interiors for remodeling projects, including a total remodel of a 5,487 square foot estate residence in Quail West, a beachfront condominium in Naples, and a high-rise residence in Bonita Bay
