Port Royal property sells for $19.8M – Naples Daily News

An elegant waterfront property in the ultra-luxe enclave of Port Royal sold on June 18 for $19.8 million, making it a record sale in Southwest Florida this year, according to available data from the Southwest Florida Multiple Listing Service (SWFLMLS). The Port Royal estate, located at 1777 Galleon Drive, was designed by Stofft Cooney Architects and completed in 2017. Frank Sajtar, the listing agent, is a top luxury properties specialist with William Raveis Real Estate.

As the highest priced sale so far in 2020, the home has garnered much attention since its completion in 2017, including a featured cover story in the magazine, Home & Design. “What makes this custom-built home unique is its contemporary minimalist design, exacting build specifications and its impressive water frontage,” says Sajtar. Additional luxurious amenities include a 77-foot glass-tiled pool; outdoor kitchen; firepit; and a deep-water dock with boating access to the Gulf of Mexico in just minutes.

William Raveis Real Estate has an impressive track record in Port Royal: the brokerage was number one in market share and volume sold in 2019 and year-to-date in 2020, currently listing 29 properties in the exclusive community, 20 more listings than their nearest competitor. “Our sales associates and sophisticated marketing platforms are exceptional and, most importantly, deliver results for our customers,” says Matt Lane, the Broker and General Manager of William Raveis Real Estate in Florida.

Named the priciest neighborhood in America by the Robb Report in 2018, Port Royal is a community of approximately 589 luxury properties. It is known for its premier waterside location and boating culture, with 90 percent of its homes having deep-water access to the Gulf of Mexico. Residents are also eligible to join the nearby Port Royal Club, a private beachfront club that offers beachfront dining, a health club with fitness center and spa services, along with a world-renowned tennis program and sophisticated arts and entertainment.

Despite the downward effects of COVID-19 on the economy and public mood, “the ultra-luxe market remains strong,” says Sajtar, who he has several upcoming sales in the same neighborhood. “Port Royal is a highly unique community and properties here are a solid investment,” adds Sajtar. “My most recent listing at 4444 Gordon Drive, asking $54 million, is the highest priced new listing to date in 2020 – and I’m confident this property won’t sit for long in the current market.”
