1 The living room

“I like to have a warm and cosy vibe in our apartment. I like to compose different colours, prints and structures to get this certain feeling. I like the word eclectic since it embraces the diversity in our lives. I am a big fan of putting a golden age painting besides a modern piece of art.”

2 The living room

“Over the last five years, I have collected rugs and blankets and this one here is by Ingegerd Silow from an auction house called Bukowskis. It’s my dream to one day weave my own rug.”

3 The study

“My study is my private room in the apartment and here I work, read and relax. It’s important for me that there is a cosy feeling in our apartment and that everybody feels at home, whether we’re in the kitchen or my study.”

4 The second study and library

“This is my husband’s study. We both like to read and many hours are spent here both reading and listening to music.”

5 The kitchen

“The kitchen was originally two smaller rooms. We broke down the wall to create the largest kitchen we’ve ever had. I love that we actually have a sofa in our kitchen.”

6 The bedroom

“I am very fond of auctions and have found a lot of pieces at both Bukowskis and Lauriz, which is where the lamps and light are from in our bedroom. On the other hand, I also enjoy buying a new piece that I have been looking at for a long time. I never buy stuff that I know is useless tomorrow. I like to invest in things that have a long life.”

7 The children’s room

“When you paint a picture, you try to mix the colours and the motifs and change the compositions until at last you find the perfect scene. I feel the same when I decorate a room.”

8 The kitchen

“The lava stone tiles are from Danish design company File under Pop and the painting is by Dorthe Holbæk.”

9 The decoration

“Flowers mean a lot to me. I often go to buy flowers on Saturdays and then I spend hours arranging and curating the bouquets myself. It’s healing and very creative work and it lifts the spirit of the home by several degrees. The vase is by File Under Pop.”
