The Hemsworth brothers are looking to offload their shared Malibu pad. A sleek, modern beach house owned by Luke, Liam, and Chris Hemsworth recently hit the market for $4.9 million, a considerable amount more than the $3.45 million they paid for it through a trust four years ago. Photos of the four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 4,612-square-foot home show that the siblings haven’t done much to update the place under their ownership—but arguably, there wasn’t too much that needed upgrading in the first place.
There are polished concrete floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliders, and warm wood accents throughout, with an open floor plan that allows for a smooth transition between kitchen, dining area, and living room. A minimalist fireplace surrounded by custom wood built-ins is situated in a cozy sitting area between the dining space and the high-end chef’s kitchen. Other rooms include a family room/home theater with eggplant-colored walls, a 750-bottle temperature-controlled wine cellar, and a sunny library with a whole wall of built-in bookshelves.
The main suite is outfitted with luxury building materials, including Calcutta gold marble finishes in the bathroom and dual walk-in closets. The back patio boasts a dining terrace with a built-in grill and a cushioned banquette surrounding a bowl-shaped fire pit. There is also a sauna just outside the main suite. The tiered terrace gives way to lush gardens full of mature trees and greenery and a lawn, with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Currently, Thor star Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky spend most of their time at their home in Australia’s Byron Bay. Westworld star Luke similarly relocated back to Australia in recent years as well, and youngest brother Liam (best known for The Hunger Games) has been spending time with his brothers in their home country of Australia after his divorce from Miley Cyrus was finalized earlier this year, though it’s unclear whether he’s moved back there for good.
