Trolls are entertaining: Taapsee Pannu
Mumbai– Actress Taapsee Pannu finds trolls on social media entertaining.
A social media troll called Taapsee a “cheap actor” and that her “mental state is not right”.
“Ok sir. When are you giving me therapy sessions. And in the bargain also tell how to become an ‘expensive’ actor. Inflation toh mere mein bhi hona chahiye na,” went Taapsee’s witty reply.
A fan of the actor said that she should ignore trolls because they were not going to change.
“But I don’t want them to change. They are so entertaining! Let’s not kill their humour by expecting them to change. They provide us with so much of content! How to use it is up to us,” the actress replied to her fan.
This is not the first time Taapsee has hit back at trolls.
On the acting front, she currently awaits the release of her next film “Saand Ki Aankh”, based on world’s oldest sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar. The Reliance Entertainment film also stars Bhumi Pednekar.
I love Deepika’s experimental nature: Tamannaah
Mumbai– “Baahubali” star Tamannaah Bhatia says she absolutely adores actress Deepika Padukone’s experimental nature.
“In Bollywood, I love Deepika Padukone. She has beautiful eyes, and I absolutely adore her experimental nature and her minimalist approach to everything, ” said Tamannaah.
“In Hollywood, I look up to Meryl Streep. I love the fact that she looks different in every part that she plays. Even at age of 70, she can completely transform and become an absolutely different character,” said Tamannaah.
Tamannaah recollected a hilarious incident that took place during one of her shoots. “There was this one time when I rehearsed an entire dance sequence in my vanity van and everyone outside was wondering why the van was swinging and shaking,” recalled the actress, appearing on the digital series, “Vanity Dairies”.
Mandira Bedi set to debut as author
Mumbai– Actress Mandira Bedi has started work on her memoir. Titled “Happy for No Reason”, the book is scheduled to release next year.
“With utmost gratitude, I look at my life having taken the most blessed and divine turns these last 25 years in entertainment. Each passing year, it has been getting and feeling better than the year gone by. I have lived life, going with the flow, and that has brought me to the only goal I ever hoped to get to — being happy from within,” said Mandira, on making her debut as an author.
“‘Happy for no Reason’ is an attitude and an intent I put out, to wake up with every day of my life. Moreover, being invited by (publisher) Penguin to author this book is a dream come true for me. But when you are in a place of true bliss you get to reach beyond what could be and what is!” she added.
Through her book, Mandira will talk about her experiences in parenting, keeping fit and striking a balance between work and home..
Specially-abled fan’s art overwhelms Salman
Mumbai– Superstar Salman Khan has shared a heartfelt wish for a specially-abled fan who sketched him. The actor said that he didn’t know how to reciprocate such love.
Salman shared the video on Twitter where the fan is seen drawing his sketch with his feet.
“God bless… Can’t reciprocate the love, but prayers and much love!” Salman captioned the video.
The 53-year-old superstar has become very active on social media lately. He has been giving fans a sneak peek into his personal life, work schedules and fitness regime.
On the work front, Salman is currently shooting for “Dabaang 3” with Sonakshi Sinha, and “Inshallah” alongside Alia Bhatt.
#Goofingaround: Twinkle teases Akshay
Mumbai– Actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna has shared a video of her actor-husband Akshay Kumar trying out a stunt during their vacation in an undisclosed location. Twinkle hilariously claimed it was Akshay’s way of making a quick buck.
Twinkle shared the video clip on Instagram, where Akshay can be seen performing a challenge that requires contestants to hang horizontally on a pole. The one who sticks around for the longest time wins £100.
“Just hanging in there! Not happy with hitting the Forbes list — he wants to make a quick 100 pounds here as well. Goofing around,” she captioned the video.
On the work front, Akshay is gearing up for the release of “Mission Mangal”, which is based on the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), or the Mangalyaan project to put a space probe into Mars’ orbit, launched by ISRO min November 2013.
He is also busy with filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s next, “Sooryavanshi”, which also stars Katrina Kaif.
Akshay to donate Rs 2cr for Assam floods
Mumbai– Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will donate Rs 1 crore each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, after the flood-stricken Assam, and the Kaziranga Park.
“Absolutely heartbreaking to know about the devastation by floods in Assam. All affected, humans or animals, deserve support in this hour of crisis. I’d like to donate 1cr each to the CM Relief Fund and to Kaziranga Park rescue,” Akshay tweeted on Wednesday.
The National Award-winning star also urged everyone to contribute for the cause.
“Appealing to all to contribute,” he added.
While 15 people have been killed in floods and landslides and over 46 lakh have been affected in Assam, 24 deaths have also been reported from north Bihar, which is also facing a serious flood situation, with water levels of rivers in the area continuing to rise.
An official of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority said that 4,175 villages with 46.28 lakh people have been affected due to the floods as of Monday afternoon, while close to 90,000 hectare of agricultural land is inundated.
Over 10 lakh animals have also been affected. Almost 90 per cent of the Kaziranga National Park has been submerged, and authorities are taking various measures, including speed restrictions on NH 37 which touches the park, to save animals as they head to higher grounds.
Hrithik, Tiger shoot ‘risky’ stunts on Finland ice
Helsinki– Actors Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff shot an adrenaline-pumping car action sequence on ice in Finland for their upcoming film “War”.
“We were clear from the start that we want to give the Indian audience action they have never seen before. Our film has a huge car sequence that sees Hrithik and Tiger perform an adrenaline-pumping action stunt that has been entirely shot on ice,” said director Siddharth Anand.
“We shot this in Finland, which is in the Arctic circle and we were informed by our production team that we were the first ever film in the world to shoot an action sequence of this scale in the Arctic,” he added.
The director said the two action stars have pushed themselves “from the word go for our film, to pull off death-defying stunts. This sequence was incredibly risky but visually so stunning that we went for it”.
Action director Paul Jennings, who worked in the Hollywood blockbuster “The Dark Knight”, has designed the jaw-dropping sequence for “War”.
The action entertainer will see Hrithik and Tiger pitted against each other in a ferocious showdown.
“War”, produced by Yash Raj Films, also stars Vaani Kapoor and is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Gandhi Jayanti this year. (IANS)
