See a three-story Dallas townhome near the Katy Trail once owned by Jordan Spieth – The Dallas Morning News

This $1,610,000-priced townhome sits a quick walk from the Katy Trail and Knox-Henderson and used to belong to Dallas-born PGA Tour golfer Jordan Spieth.

The three-story home has more than 4,368 square feet that comfortably house three bedrooms, three bathrooms and one half-bathroom. An elevator makes all three levels of the home more accessible. Built in 2008. the home is one of four similarly designed townhomes on Travis Street.

Listing agent Wendy Harkness said Brown Architects designed the home with a unique amount of isolation for a neighborhood in the center of the city.

“He designed it with a lot of natural light and with privacy from neighbors, even though it’s right in the middle of town,” Harkness said.

It’s now the personal home of John Sebastian, of Sebastian Construction Group, a company known for the homes they’ve built in Dallas’ multi-million dollar neighborhoods.

Sebastian renovated the home extensively in 2017, adding upgraded finishes and new design elements. The layout remained the same, but the owners remodeled the primary bathroom and dressing area, upgraded the movie theater system and enhanced details like the flooring and windows.

On the first floor, the main living rooms, dining room, and kitchen connect to the home’s attached two-car garage. The kitchen is a sleek, minimalist look with white cabinets and hidden appliances. There are also three patios at the front and back of the home.

The second floor is devoted to the primary suite. In addition to a small seating area near the stairs, the primary suite includes a his-and-her-style bathroom with two showers, dual sinks and a bathtub at the middle. The bathroom also functions as a closet area and is surrounded by an abundance of cabinets with stainless steel inlays.

The remaining two bedrooms sit on the third floor, along with a movie theater room. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, and one of the two bedrooms is an exercise room.

Harkness said the home is great for potential owners who want to walk to dinner or the shops in the area.
