Nail artist Betina Goldstein has garnered a cult following thanks to her minimalist manicures and lust-worthy Instagram feed, which offers up daily nail inspiration in the form of her now-iconic hand selfies. While we fell in love with Goldstein’s attention to detail in her nail art creations, it’s actually her keen eye for matching jewellery that also has us hooked.

Goldstein developed jewellery line Doublemoss after creating her own pieces playing around with gold wires, pearls and other materials to bring her painted art to life, with the first idea sparking from her ‘Mani Ring’.
“The idea originated while I was experimenting with large freshwater pearls, which I glued onto my fingers,” Goldstein told makeup.com. “I used gold wire to wrap the pearl into the form of a birds nest. I wore it to an event and received multiple comments from people. Everybody wanted to try it on, but the problem was the pearl was glued to my fingernail! The next day I went into my studio to turn this nail art into a standalone ring. I posted my first Mani Ring (which I hand made) on Instagram, and it received a tremendous response — that was the birth of Doublemoss.”
Goldstein now uses the line to create pieces that accentuate and accompany her nail art.

Doublemoss falls into the fine-jewellery category, meaning Goldstein’s team develop collections of rings, earrings and necklaces using 14k gold as their primary metal, along with high-quality gemstones like rubies, freshwater pearls and diamonds. “I want Doublemoss to be known for unique yet approachable designs with exceptional quality,” Goldstein told The Beauty Experience.
