Lakeview

Let’s start in Lakeview with this charming four-bedroom condo inside a restored old-school greystone dating back to 1896. Buyers with more modern tastes will find lots to like about this contemporary single-family home in West Town, listed for $779,000. The three-story, four-bedroom property features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the minimalist living room and sleek all-white kitchen with natural light. The home has three outdoor balconies plus a rooftop deck offering views of the Chicago skyline.

South Loop

Located on a quiet street in the South Loop’s Prairie District neighborhood, this renovated three-bedroom townhouse offers updated interiors and three private outdoor areas including a rooftop terrace. This unusual residence is located in the landmarked former St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church building in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village. The $849,000 unit is one of nine condos carved out from the historic 1905 Gothic Revival style structure. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home spans two floors and features a blend of contemporary fixtures and original architectural details. The stained glass window in the marble walk-in shower is a particularly interesting touch.
