Here’s the thing: there are endless white sneaker options on the market—and I would know; having (tough life, I know). Call me a sneaker addict, but my closet is stocked with more white sneakers than I can count. With a tiny New York City apartment, I’ve been forced to curb my craving for new kicks, but when a new release comes along that catches my attention for more than a hot minute, I know I need to get my hands on a pair. However, this collaboration not only puts a fresh twist on the retro style, but it honors the Targa by only making small (but mighty) design tweaks that simply elevate it for easy, modern style—something to be expected from .
The combination of design teaks that are signature to Miansai—like the maritime grade rope laces and silver screw-cuff detailing—along with the rich textural mix of suede and leather make the Targa look seriously expensive. Most pearly white sneakers can feel tarnished with the smallest scuff, but in off-white leather and a classic gum sole, these cool kicks will only look better with more wear—and that’s exactly what a guy should look for in his everyday sneaker.
