The beautiful Welsh homes on Instagram that will inspire your next project – Wales Online

Home interior accounts on Instagram have boomed in the last few years with people using it as inspiration to transform their own homes.

Everyone loves having a nose inside other people’s homes and they give you a chance to do just that.

The stunning pictures give you house envy but also provide inspiration for your next project.

Not only has Instagram become an amazing resource for interior design inspiration, many accounts also provide DIY hacks and cleaning tips.

Some accounts have become so popular that the home owners used them as a source of income.

Here are our top picks of stylish homes on Instagram from around Wales.

Sarah’s home has had a complete makeover and if you scroll back to September 2018 the house is almost unrecognisable.

Full of rich hues and patterns, Sarah has transformed the terrace house in the South Wales Valleys into a modern living space with a traditional twist, making use of Welsh textile deisgner William Morris.

The kitchen features stunning navy units with pink painted walls, a colour pallet that is brave and reflective of the home owner’s creative personality.

Our favourite thing? The plants and Vincent the dog.

If you are looking for renovation inspiration, look no further than Reena Simon’s Instagram account.

After years of documenting her gorgeous Scandinavian and bohemian inspired home in Cardiff, Reena has moved on to buy a renovation like no other.

She is currently in the process of rebuilding – with the help of builders – a mid century bungalow in Cardiff.

Her plans for the home are a true testament to her creativity, and will definitely make you think outside the box.

In the meantime, Reena is still posting beautiful photos from her last home, as well as the rental home her family are currently living in which will inspire you to make the most of the space you have.

Reena’s garden also made it onto the top ten list of most ‘liked’ outdoor spaces.

The one thing to take away from this account – neutrals don’t mean less.

This home looks fairly normal from the outside, but inside is a stylish haven of modern design with industrial and traditional features.

Miffy Shaw opened her home up to the whole of the UK earlier this year, when it featured on BBC’s Best House in Town, and won the best house in Cardiff.

The competition looked at ambition surprise and functionality, but the house ultimately beat the other finalists for its eclectic design, use of pattern, texture and colour.

Our favourite room? The beautiful children’s room, which features a traditional pink fireplace, modern speckled wall paper and a gorgeous canapé, offering a perfect and stylish place to play.

Lowri at 11 Rose Cottage is a self-proclaimed Home Sense ambassador, which is pretty clear in her eclectic and glamorous style.

The home, which features golden parquet floor tiles, rich emerald walls and a velvet sofa, takes boho mixed with luxe to a whole new level.

The beautiful cottage is the complete opposite of what you would expect – rejecting the traditional style often found in this style of property.

We are also obsessed with the cats.

What do we envy the most? That walk-in industrial style wardrobe which is a DIY project.

Jade Doutch

Jade’s home in Anglesey is described as modern rustic, boho and Scandi. What makes her house different is the infusion of blush colours.

Jade has wrote about how she renovated her tiny bathroom, which is now covered ceiling to floor in white metro tiles, and a clear shower enclosure, to make it feel like a big space.

The mix of modern and vintage shows how you can have a stylish home whilst making use of old pieces of furniture.

The dreamiest thing about the house? A kitchen extension which opens out onto a garden patio dining space that looks like it belongs in a Spanish Villa.

Amanda – The Girl With The Navy Kitchen

Amanda’s renovation of her home in Abarth is true testament that glam works well with rustic.

Her beautiful shaker style navy kitchen is the inspiration for her account and is timelessly paired with worn star feature tiles.

Amanda has also used paint to inject colour into her bedroom, whilst leaving the walls around bare, giving new life to the old feature wall.

What will we be copying? The hidden dog kennel under the stairs.

As other accounts have shown, colour is in right now, and Melissa and Nick Morgan have used it to create a home full of dark surprises.

Easy to spot with the pink front door, inside you are transported to a minimalist haven.

This home proves that wood panelling has made a come back, showing a great alternative to print feature walls.

Dream feature? We are torn between the pink front door and the huge kitchen.
