No, it’s not floating, but this three-bedroom Dallas home with windows everywhere gives that illusion – The Dallas Morning News

This modern and minimalist design sits on a landscaped lot with a natural and secluded feel. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two half-bathrooms in its 6,325 square feet.

The home is the result of collaborative design efforts between architect Joshua Nimmo, interior designer William Nash, and builder Steve McCombs. The grounds were designed by David Hocker.

Architect Joshua Nimmo said the home was built for sustainability, from the design to its placement on the property.

“The home’s massing and placement on the site were carefully designed to avoid disturbing the trees,” Nimmo said in a statement about the home.

The home features geothermal heating and cooling, and its foundation was intentionally designed to be smaller than the home to prevent disturbing the roots of the surrounding trees.

The one-story structure has a spacious layout, and most of the rooms have windows as at least one wall. The shared spaces, like the living room, dining room, kitchen and family room are surrounded by glass walls on either side.

At the entrance, the living room and dining room sit on either end of a large room. At the center, there is a closet and half-bathroom hidden in a square, marble-like divider between the rooms.

The kitchen and family room have an open floor plan, and like the other rooms, give expansive views of the landscaped property on either side of the space. Built-in, brown cabinets draw the eye to the kitchen in the otherwise all-white interior. There’s a wet bar in the kitchen as well.

The primary suite is in a separate wing of the house, only accessible through a long hallway. It sits on the opposite side of an outdoor living area that separates the family room from the primary suite. In addition to a bedroom, opulent bathroom and large, custom closet, the primary suite has a study and sitting room.

The two remaining bedrooms share a bathroom with dual sinks. The bedrooms overlook another section of the property.

There is an attached four-car garage with a storage room, mudroom, nearby half-bathroom and utility room. Outside, a reflection pool accents the green and lush landscape. The home has numerous covered patios and an outdoor living space.
